Wills are contested when the wishes of the testator does not seem to be in agreement with what the beneficiaries imagined they would receive. Writing a will lets people plan for unusual circumstances and untimely demise, while leaving instructions to those left behind. A legal will usually names an executor to carry out the provisions of the will; this person is responsible for making sure that things get carried out according to what has been written.
