A living will gives you a voice in decisions about your medical care when you are unconscious and unable to make decisions for yourself concerning your health. Whatever the law states where you reside will be the outcome of your estate if you pass without a will in this country. A legal will is important to ensure that your assets are distributed in the manner you wish them to be; without a will your family has the right to do with your assests as they please. A health care provider can contact your family members to decide on how to treat you if you are not able to make any sound decisions; however, it is best to have a living will. You will probably want a will in place if you have significant possessions or large sums of investments to leave behind. You can modify your will as often as you like, but make sure it is finalized each time after you are finished making the changes.

A person can pass on property to their family members by stating it in their will; however, if no will is written the proper steps will be taken to distribute the rights to the land accordingly. Wills are contested in long bitter rivalries that often leave no member of the family unscathed or happy. You can ensure yourself of not having an untimely demise by having your will in place as soon as you have any possessions or dependents to leave something of significance. Without a will in place, the state will decide how your fortunes and possessions are split between those related to you. Most people dont break the law mostly because of what i cant see any other way than as a conscious. A legal representative is appointed to look after the deceased assests in the case of a intestacy; this is person is responsible for making sure the assests are distrubted in the correct order.
